1. Can I commission a custom photoshoot or project?
Short answer—yes! If you’re looking for a commissioned shoot that isn’t a portrait, I’d love to collaborate. Whether it’s a stunning landscape, creative concept, or something entirely unique, we can make it happen. Depending on location and budget, I’ll work with you to bring your vision to life. Let’s chat and create something unforgettable!
2. Do you offer photography workshops?
I don’t offer workshops at this time, but it’s definitely something I’ve thought about for the future! If you’re interested, reach out—I’m always happy to answer questions about art, photography, travel experiences, and more. We don’t gatekeep around here!
3. What equipment do you use for your photography?
I use a Canon MK4 for digital photography and a selection of film cameras—Pentax K1000, Canon Powershot, and Instax—each bringing its own unique touch to my work. I tend to lean towards prime lenses (35mm, 50mm, 85mm), but I also love my 24-70mm for its versatility. My film cameras have the same lens options, so it really depends on my mood and the image style I’m trying to achieve for each specific project. I believe in a "less is more" approach to photography—it's not about the camera, but the person behind the lens. My focus is always on capturing the essence of the moment, trusting that creativity is what truly makes a photograph special.
4. What are your upcoming travel plans and destinations?
This year, most of my travels are focused on portraits and weddings—but I’m always open to new adventures! If you’d like me to travel for your session, reach out, and we’ll plan something unforgettable together. Let’s document your story in a place that speaks to you!
5. How do you handle image licensing and rights?
As a photographer, I retain the copyright to all images I create, granting clients a license for personal or commercial use depending on the agreement. Clients may use the photos for personal enjoyment or specific business purposes, but any additional use (like advertising or resale) requires a separate licensing agreement. I always provide clear contracts outlining the scope of usage and retain rights for portfolio and marketing purposes. 6. How do you ensure ethical treatment of wildlife in photos?
I am deeply committed to ethical photography practices, especially when it comes to wildlife and culturally significant locations. I believe in never encroaching on animals or indigenous peoples, respecting their space and traditions. Additionally, I have taken the "Leave No Trace" course to ensure that I leave no impact on the environment, particularly in sacred spaces like national parks. My goal is to document these places and creatures in a way that preserves their integrity, leaving them as I found them—free from debris and undisturbed.
